Business & Finance

Warning to consumers and agents of IPA, Independence American Insurance Company, ABBA, Americas Business Benefit Association; All IHC, Independence Holding Company marketing division. I was trained to lie to customers. I was new to insurance and when I interviewed (cattle call) I was told that we provided business benefits to small businesses. While very underemployed I took the job as I liked the idea to help businesses. I was hood winked. What IPA really does is sell very expensive health insurance. Because the policies were much more expensive than what is being offered by more well known carriers, I was instructed to inform clients to check the number of complaints ABBA policies had versus say Blue Cross Blue Shield. When one looks at the complaints you can see that Blue Cross has more, BUT!!! This is where just one of the lies starts... It is not the number of complaints, but the... Complaint ratio... To the amount of business a carrier does. These training lies were told to me by Bruce Tripp and James Sackos. ABBA polices don't show up on the State of Colorado web site, because they don't have enough business on the books to even be listed. (Web site below) While ABBA polices are not too bad... IHC, the parent company sells the same product on the open market through the broker community with a different name with better rates and includes full air ambulance. Why do you want to compete against the same company with a policy that costs more and then not have the other products to sell as well? Agent is Kingscam. ScamscamI wished I did my homework earlier. Two other ways I was instructed to mislead clients were that if they did not buy the association, they could be singled out for rate increases. Big pile of bull... It is in the insurance contract, not the association. So unless there are two policy pools, this is hogwash. Other products on the market do the same thingthere is no exclusive product at IPA. Bull. BullBull. The other was to gut the annual max in the policy to $100,000 a year and leave the association in the price if the clients budget did not fit. The few hundred bucks a client could save a year by using the benefits do not out-weigh a huge claim by eliminating the Rx and lower the annual max to the minimum. This could wipe out a clients nest egg. Lies and cheats is what they are just to keep in the high profit association package in the deal. IPA leadership trained me to lie. The good news is I have found someone who is really teaching me the right way to make a good start in the insurance industry. I will go back to my current client base and explain a better, less expensive policy to these folks. I can even add accident and gap plans for critical illness for half the money an ABBA membership costs. Life insurance I can write today and not wait for some number to hit. Not only that, with Obama care, one needs to diversify today, not waiting for IHC to come up with a way to keep people captive to their lies. I feel much better about what I'm doing now and don't fell I have to come home to take a shower after a training meeting. You can find complaint ratios from the state of Colorado at http://www.dora. State.Co. Us/insurance... If you are a consumer, pick up the phone and call the state, or fill out the complaint form on the web site. It is the only way these cheats will get the message. Leadership you can trust... No way... Only big ego's who dupe the trusting. You can also check out Dan DuNeui who lost his license in Colorado due to lack of child support. Just a blow hard who wants us to lie some more. You can find his name on the web site... Http://www.dora. State.Co. Us/insurance/enforcement.htm Just scroll down and click on his name. Only two things could be in play here. One he does not make enough money and that does not speak well of IPA (just look at the newsletter - how many are making it? - very few) or he does not care about his children. This reminds me of a guy who left his wife for a stripper. Do your home work folks. I glad I woke up and did. There are better choices for you.
