Chase Visa Mileage Plus
Assessed "Minimum Interst Charge R (other) even though bill paid in full on time

I pay the total balance on my Chase Visa account on line through my Chase Bank checking account. I use the bill due date as the pay date. It takes about 2 days to post.in the interim Visa adds a $39 late fee then removes it when the payments posts. This month after the late fee was credited they posted a $1.50 minimum interest charge R (other) to my account. I called customer service to ask what it was. They didn't know and offered to remove it "as a courtesy". So why am I complaining? It occurred to me that many people might not want to or have the time to deal with the hassle of calling to have such a small charge removed. If Visa added this charge to everyones account knowing many woudln't complain, they would collect a tidy sum of money.
