While signing up to get a free credit report I authorized a one time fee of $1.00 to allow privacy matters to safe guard my identity during the process. Of course, shortly after receiving my credit report, I canceled my subscription to the site. Then in checking my bank statement I noticed not only the $1.00 fee (which I looked up and verified to be OK) from budget savers but also a -16.95 from privacy matters. I promptly called the 800 number on the statement and angrily canceled the monthly subscription that I never agreed to in the first place. Now I suspected that I would never see them again but lo and behold there's budget savers again with a -24.95 charge...
