IMA - International Marketing Association
IMA, receivable resources phone scam

Business & Finance

My wife and I started receiving calls from Kevin with "Receivable Resources" (866) 950-3933 stating he is representing IMA and my wife owes them $1,200. That she agreed to pay them in exchange for 5 years of magazine subscriptions and the call was recorded.
We denied that any such agreement was made and refused to pay them. This guy was relentless and called my wife on a daily bases. When he finally spoke to me and explained the situation. My first response to him was, "who would agree to pay $1,200 for magazines?" His response was, "I would". Which was when I knew it was a scam even before my wife told me about this guy calling her. Fortunately and coincidently my wife had changed bank accounts so there was no money lost that I am aware of and we didn't have to deal with trying to get our money back like man other people whose complaints I just read on this website.
We actually did receive about 10 magazines. None of which even addressed to my wife's name.
I submitted a complaint to the Attorney General and hopefully these people will be punished.
