Ripoff, no good, kick a man when he's down, lousy excuse of a business Maybe they could learn some manners and respect

I had a Providian Visa card, which was switched over to the emerge mastercard. I probably wouldn't have cared so long as they would have said that they were selling me out to some pushy, pencil neck, paper pushing little punks. I would have been cool about it, if they would have showed a little respect towards me.instead they had to be forceful from the start.

I unexpectedly lost my job during the course of last year. I was living in a small town, couldn't find work. Emerge was well aware of my situation, yet they continued to stack up the charges. Now, I was under the impression that the extra $20 a month for credit protection was there for me. With the charges growing deeper, I brought up the credit protection I'd been paying for. The woman I was speaking to didn't believe that I had lost my job. She thought I was just trying to dodge the payments. That day, I lost every last ounce of respect I could ever have towards that company.

It took over two months, as well as a cross country move, for me to find a half-way decent paying job. Now I have these jerks calling and harrassing me, no matter where I am. My boss finally got sick enough of the calls coming in at work, that he had the secretaries forward all Emerge calls to his office. They have since stopped calling my job; but somehow they got my cell phone number as well as my pager. I don't know how much longer I can put up with these people. I don't get many hours, I pay what I can when I can. I don't know what else these folks want from me.

These people even have the nerve to argue with my family members when they call to hound me. They think my sister's husband is me, so when he tells them otherwise, they call him a liar. I wish I could have five minutes alone with one of these clowns. Maybe then they could learn some manners and respect.
