Ripoff all I want is my money back and I will not take no for an answe

In the year 2001 I received a call from a company called Freedom Resource that promised me that they would give me a unsecured credit card that will help me build credit and I thought it was a good idea.

They explained to me that I had to give a start up fee of $221.00 and i said why and they said that they were going to send it back to me in a voucher so I agreed to let them take it out of savings account.

The next day they had already taken the money out of my acct. So I waited for 7 bus. Days after nothing. So I waited then about a month. When I saw nothing would get there then I worried, and I was giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I called them and no one would answer for about an hour they kept me on hold so I hung up because I was paying for this call long distance. I then I waited about a week and called again and then they did answer and I spoke to Mrs. Lila. She then asked me for my phone # and she told me that my credit card was on its way so I trusted her that she was not lying to me.

But I waited again about another two weeks patiently. The card never came and I was now $221.00 short from my bills because of them. Today is Oct. 10th 2003 and still I sit and wait. I think I have been more than patient with them. Now all I want is my money back and I will not take no for an answer. I have contacted the Attorney General's office and the BBB and I'm also going to contact my attorney if need be so if I don't get my money back I will do what is necesary. Thank You.
