Threatening lette

Like many others I tried the "free-trial" of coloncleanse3000 and almost a year later recieved a threatening letter demanding payment of $83.95. I called the number and recieved a very rude customer representative who was demanding payment today. I refused payment. Went straight to my Bank, and was advised to change my credit card number and re-call the customer reps number and verbally say " I have researched this company, and know that this is a scam. Therefore my credit card has been cancelled and the credit bureau has been notified of this scam and to stop contacting me." I guess time will only tell if they continue with the threatening letters. I have also been advised to monitor my credit report and to notify the bank immediately if they try to mess with me again. I hope this helps anyone else out there going through the same scam. This company is simply trying to scare people into agreeing to payment!
