US Bank - Shame on You

I have had a credit card with US Bank for a number of years with a credit limit of $13,000.00 which I have used occassionally to pay college tuition and other major purchases. I ahve been a great customer to them, paying back in large portions and keeping my balance at bay. I have ALWAYS scheduled my payment over the internet and never in all the years encountered a problem with that. However, last month I transfered $3,000 of the balance to a 0% interest free offer from Discover. I had a remaining balance of only $700.00 with US Bank which I would have paid in two payments. I scheduled a payment of $400.00 for March which they claim they never received and witout even contacting me - they slashed my credit limit to $800.00 - just barely over the balance owed. When I called them and inquired they said that me not making my payment on time is the result of this. I asked them where is the courtsey they should have extended to consumers who they have made so much money off of. They said I am a potential risk - at this time, I almost lost it, for there has been no change in my income and financially I have not been affected by the recession (thank God) but yet I was being scaled by a system and grouped based on statistics and not the type of customer I have been. The supervisors looked at my account and verified that the information I was telling them was true yet they could not help me. They only way they would instate some of my credit was if I gave them permission to run my credit report again. Again, this bank made a selfish move that affected my FICO score (which I have guarded all of my credit life) why should I allow them to run a report that would drop my score again. I think that banks like these do not deserve consumers monies and people need to run from them.
