FCNB-Spiegel Midland Credit Management
Ripoff

I was in the process of buying a house and ran my credit report, thinking that it was in good standing. When this debt from FCNB-Spiegel came up. It was a debt from 1991 and I thought it had been written off in 1996 because I paid an amount to some collection agency saying if I paid a certain amount the debt would be taken care of. Well now it is showing up again and I had no idea that they put it on my credit report and to top it all off they are charging interest. On a debt that I was never notified about and thought was taken care of over 7 years ago.

I contacted FCNB and they told me to call a Midland Credit Management, of course you try to get through to them and they transfer you. Then you get an answering machine that tells you if you have a dispute with an account then you need to write to Consumer Relations. So after all these years and a couple of moves I do not have anything to show that this was paid to some collection agency.
