Business & Finance

I had applied for a Discover card back in June to receive a free DVD player from CreditGift.com. I was approved after only a short while, and waited for the confirmation number to come via email for me to send for the DVD player.

Finally after a month or so, I started emailing. I took 5 emails before someone finally contacted me. Per the email, I was told there was an error in them sending me my confirmation number and I should just send a copy of that email instead w / the item I wanted free, (the DVD player) along w / my mailing address, and email.

After another month 1/2, I started trying to contact the company again to find out the status of my DVD player, and finally on my third attempt, when I threatened to turn this company in to the Better Business Bureau, they finally emailed me back stating "by clicking on the email link below, you will find your confirmation number.

Of course, it said there was an error w / my confirmation #. I replied to that email & copy/pasted the other email into it to show that I should not need a confirmation # and that everything was sent in as requested. I still have not heard what the status of my "free gift" is.
