Svc don't be fooled, this rip-off comes from many web sites such as qspace.com

I unfortunatly became a victim of Consumerinfo.com when I came across an advertisement for a FREE credit report, provided by QSpace.com. This site offered a free credit report from one of the three credit bureaus, if I wanted all three reports then there would be a charge, also offered was a Credit Rating for an additional fee which is declined.

I requested a hard copy to be mailed to me, which was also free, however I never received it. I sent several "customer care" e-mails and I also called. I got the run around each and every time, the same old story, "we've just been swamped with requests."

By 7/31/03 My frustration grew as I realised my "Free 30 day Trial Membership" was ending and all I got from this company was a lot of hot air. I didn't have a clue as to the billing company they used and when I went to the QSpace.com site it told me that I had to contact customer care for cancellation.

With a great sigh I again made my call and I was told that my "Trial Membership" had already ended and I couldn't cancel my membership. Sheer aggrevation overwhelmed me as I stared at my e-mail confirmation from consumerinfo.com dated 7/16/03 thanking me for my credit report request. The operator told me that there wasn't anything I could do, I had to "eat the $79.95 charge to my credit card".

OK so I got sucked into their scam, so I decided to take advantage of my UNWANTED membership. I went back to QSpace.com to access my account only to find that I no longer had access to my records.

Member-only benefits my foot! Any information that I wanted would cost me another fee!

I don't have a kind word for these sites and I urge others who have found themselves in the same situation to review another person's complaint. His name is "Matthew in Tallahasse - Try poking a hole in consumerinfo's pocket." He lists many contacts to help spread the word about this RIP-OFF.
