Ripoff mislead from the beginning of a very bad ordeal Would need almost $1,400.00 more at closing NO WAY!

I gave Lending Tree.com the information because I wanted to refinance while the interest rates were still low. A loan officer from Atlantic Pacific called and told me that if I paid the $351.00, I could lock in at 5.375%, so I did.

After a week later, another loan officier called and said that they could not honor that interest rate, but I could get 5.625%. I decided to continue with the refinancing because of the time and money that I already put in with this company.

After several weeks of different loan officers that Atlantic Pacific Mortgage Corp. Kept giving me, and each one telling me something different about the amount of the loan and the amount that the appraisal came in for, and me having to personally call the manager, I was very upset. The manager, Mr. Rick Manou, had a very lax attitude about the whole bad ordeal that we were having with them.

After several more misleading conversations with them, the closing date was finally set. The day before closing, a loan officer called and told me that we would need almost $1,400.00 more at closing or that we could put that amount back on the total loan and pay PMI. The day of closing Mr. Manou called and told us that we wouldn't need any money if we just paid the PMI. I informed Mr. Manou and the title company that I would not be closing and that our business was over. I am sending them a written request to try and get a refund on the $351.00 that I paid.
