NSF charged

We visited Areas to shut our checking acct. And were told it'd been already shut since the last check that removed had obtained the final of the cash within the consideration. I believed which was unusual but questioned what must we do in regards to a Sears check that hadnot removed. We were informed to visit the shop and spend it personally. Sears decided which was a great idea, (BAD IDEA!) The check that were delivered to Sears by email was subsequently delivered to Areas and returned. Returned towards the lender and questioned exactly how we might be billed a $35 charge once the acct. Was closed, they stated they'd manage it - NOT! The check returned 3 more occasions and also the lender claims we owe $140 in nsf costs and they informed us to not shut the acct., ONCE THEY would be the types who shut it! Its our term against theirs plus they understand it.
