Transitional Corporation of America Mortgage Modification Scam Took Me for $3,700.00 and is now closed down!

In January of I was called by a man who called himself Mike Bates and he seemed to know a great deal about my home's mortgage. He also stated that he could get my first and second mortgage and payments reduced due to approximately 50 percent due to President Obama's "Making Homes Affordable" program. I was leery at first and asked that he send me a proposal and information about the company. He did so and while may parents and partner advised me not to send them any money, I went ahead and DID!

I paid a total of $3,760.00 in three installments, the "Notary" did not check my identification nor have me sign the notary register and yet I proceeded to give her the three checks!

I have been the only one making calls to check the status of my file and was constantly told that the banks were taking my case in "review".

I drove by the address listed for 21st Century and there were empty offices. I then drove by the address listed for Transitional Corporation and found that it was a mail receiving and shipping store. When I inquired about the company, they said that they were no longer a client!

I have filed a small claims lawsuit the ithe San Bernidino court and it will likely go nowhere as my address was the Foothill BL address.

I am interested in hearing from others who would be interested in filing a class-action lawsuit and attempt to get at least a portion of our money back. Please contact me to see what trouble we can cause for Andrea Ramirez, the owner listed by the State of California Secretary of State's office!
