Attorney's fees added to my loan balance

I'd a-line of collateral mortgage with CIT originated from 2006. That mortgage was used in Vericrest in middle. I've created funds promptly each month, usually spending a lot more compared to the minimal payment to be able to pay-off the mortgage. On my December 09 declaration from Vericrest, there's a $30 cost. After many calls, I then found out this was a lawyer cost by Vericrest to check on my credit to ensure there have been no foreclosures or issues with any home or loans.
