Almost scamed me!

Franklin Whitford of The Redfield Equity Group called me from an unkown number and told me that I was approved for a $5000.00 Loan at a 6% interest rate. He told me that all I had to do was secure six months worth of payment in the amount of $578.94. I did not give him my account information and told him that if he wanted to give me that loan, to take off the $ 578.94 and send me the balance in a certified check. I never heard from him again. He also told me that if I sent the money to him that he would have the $5000.00 in my account the next day if I did it before 4 pm. I checked with the BBB and seen that redfield was not listed and now the phone is disconected. Im so glad that I did not do this. It was very temping. Please remember that no loan co is going to ask for Money before they give you money. They either give it to you or they don't. I do have a contrac from them and they blocked the fax number wich also raised another red flag.
