Canadian Letter Claimed $250,000 Prize and Sent $4,985 Check

I received a very legitimate-looking "Certified Claim" with a check for $4,985.00. The letter came in a plain envelope, postmarked Canada, and says I won $250,000.00 and that the check is an advance check to pay for Canadian taxes. The letter provides the name of a "Designated tax agent" as well as a Regional Manager, with a photo, and two numbers. I called the number listed and received a request to call back.

I would be very interested in speaking with law enforcement regarding this letter.
