Could not write check, denied by telecheck

Wrote check to kmart which was denied by telecheck, kmarts check verification source. Called telecheck but could not get reason. My banks branch is in kmarts parking lot so i had to walk over there to cash same check, same account (my personal) then go back to kmart to pay for xmas toys. Total humiliation and embarassment. I will never shop there again.
