Security deposit refund

I received a call from linda saunders saying i was approved for a $5000 loan, but i needed to send a security deposit since i had no collateral. I sent them a total of $2200 and was to receive the loan on 11/12/09 before 2 P.M. This was told to me by a mr. Philip dunmore. When the money wasn't there, i contacted mr. Dunmore to find out why, he told me the lender failed to release the funds. I told mr. Dunmore i no longer wanted the loan and wanted my security deposit back. I was told i couldn't receive it until 12/4/09. When this date came and went, i called back only to find the number was disconnected.
