Store Discover Card Lacks Purchase Protections of Regular Discover Card

Sam's Discover Card is not created equal to a regular DISCOVER card. Sam's club Discover purchases do not provide the same purchase protections you enjoy with a regular DISCOVER card. How so? I found out the hard way. I bought an electronics product at Sam's that came with a year warranty. A regular DISCOVER card doubles that warranty against failure. When I attempted to use that feature at Sam's I was told " NO " because it is a different DISCOVER card and they are not required to honor the other DISCOVER card issuers protections. Now, after having performed plastic surgery on my Sam's Club Discover Card I am on the hunt for a better card... Anyone got ideas??? Suggestions???
