I was searching the internet to apply for a personal loan to do a debt consolidation. UL Services, LLC came up. I read the inforamation and provided my details to request a loan. The next day I received an email stating that I was approved; however an load collateral one insurance amt was required. I did question the amount any why it is being asked and it was explained that it was a good faith payment and that the money would be applied to the end of the term of my loan. I sent the information and have been corresponding with them in regards to receipt of my payment. I for some reason decided to do more searches online regarding the company and came across that this is a fraud. I am very shocked; considering I did do a check initially to ensure it wasnt but for some reason I did not get any hits. I am so frustrated at this point because I just dont have that kind of money laying around. I did not pay my credit cards in hopes that this check would be here and I would pay off all my bills. Now I am in even a bigger mess. Here is a copy of the email I received; to all please beware. Any assistance from anyone would be greatly appreciated to see if I can at least recope the money I lost.

Dear Lori-ann, Thank you for applying for $30,000 in unsecured credit through ULServices. We would like to happily inform you that we have negotiated two unsecured loan pre approvals in the amount of $15,000 a piece. The terms of the loans are both the same. 72 months with an annual percentage rate of 9.49% APR. Please note* this is not a payday style loan, your monthly installment payments in the amount of $274.05 on each loan will be due on the 1 st of every month.

*In order to proceed with your loan pre approval you must fax or email us the following information:

1. Valid Identification (e.G. Drivers license, passport, or a government issued ID)
2. Proof of Residence (e.G. Utility bill - phone, electric, cable bill etc.)
3. One-time collateral insurance payment in the amount of ($1,096.20). This is a mandatory condition of your loan approval
4. Your loan offer is valid for 14 days from receipt of this email (email is time stamped & HTML coded for security purposes)
5. Once all information above is received, your loan will be processed and funded within 4-5 business days.
6. All negotiated loan offers are simple interest with no pre payment penalty.
7. To expedite receiving your loan proceeds, please mail your collateral insurance payment via U.S. Next day mail.
