Charged Despite Never Completing Free Credit Report Request

I was told that I could get my credit report for free and there would be no charge for the first one. I didn't even follow through with getting it and it still charged me!!! I am going to go back through my bank reports to find out if they charged me more than once. I want to know how to get my money back!!!
