Wells Fargo Investments Illegal Overdraft Fees

I spent 7 times on my debit card over the weekend, this last weekend. Average cost was $8.39. On Tuesday at 12:01am, My insurance was drafted when i only had $6 left after the 7 purchases according to my check book balance. I forgot about the insurance ($166) and it overdrew my account $160 total.

Wells fargo placed this before all of the weekend charges so that each one would overdraw. $280 on $58 dollars of purchases.

When I called the customer care, the supervisor Roseanne said in a condescending tone, "ma'am, when you make the purchases we just expect that you want us to pay them so if you didn't want us to pay them, you shouldn't have bought them." Needless to say, its like the air company on My Best Friend's Girl with Dane Cook shouting "NO REFUNDS."

I then went into my local Wells Fargo on Andrews Hwy in Midland, and the manager said, "no bank error, no refund." Well, I asked why that one draft was pushed before the others even though they were 2-5 days earlier, and the Customer Rep. Said, "They push the most expensive ones first, because they assume those are the more important bills, i.E. Mortgage, car payment." When I mentioned the other CR saying they pay everything, they didn't have an explanation.

There's a difference in "Bank error" and "Bank error in policy." Maybe its "Customer error" for being stupid enough to do business with them.

I will move my checking account, auto loan, credit card, and savings because of this.
