Jorge Kabande Beware making any "good faith" deposits with this individual

There are many businesses listed for sale on the internet by Alamo Business Brokers. I am posting this to warn people to get the facts before making any deal with this person. This "company" consists of only one person - Mr. Jorge Kabande. If you are interested in any business he is representing the first thing he will ask for is a "good faith" deposit.

He assured my wife and I that if we decided not to buy for ANY reason, we would get an UNCONDITIONAL refund of our deposit money immediately. He made up a story about locking in great price if we could place our deposit before the weekend. He then went to our bank and cashed the check at a teller 10 minutes after we gave it to him. Later we found that the owner never agreed to that price at all, and he continued showing to potential buyers for 2 weeks afterward.

Almost a month after we declined to buy the business due to other issues we found, we are still waiting for our deposit.
