Ripoff corruption we managed to get away but it took work

15 months ago Fairbanks took over the service of our loan from Equicredit, we got a letter from Fairbanks telling us they had to force place insurance if we did'nt send them proff of coverage, we did 30 times or more.

My husband and I are one of the lucky one's! As soon as Fairbanks took over our loan we started to refinace, but because of what they had reported on our credit report we couldn't find anyone to refi us.

On 02/26/03 the first news report about Fairbanks was aired on WBAL Channel 11 news, thats when I started sending everything I got from Fairbanks to Jayne Miller, I new sooner or later I would get Jayne Miller to talk to me. My husband and I started again to refinace our home, Wells Fargo was the one and only company that was willing to fight has hard as we did to get us refinaced. Wells Fargo got a copy of our payoff from Fairbanks and it was for 155,000.00, but we only owed 144,000.00, there was 6,200.00 that was listed as other fee's, ther was late fee's fax fee's so many fee's I had never heard of, when Fairbanks took over our loan from Equicredit we owed 144,000.00, our original loan amount with Equicredit was for 147,000.00, so how can you end up owing more than you borrowed! I email a copy of the payoff to Jayne Miller with WBAL, the next day I got a phone call from Jayne Miller she wanted to meet with me.

On May 16 Jayne Miller came to my home, I was never so happy to finally have someone willing to listen to me, and believe waht I am saying. We did go to settlement earlier this month, we still didn't get a great rate 8.25%, but we our not with Fairbanks anymore (THANK GOD, BUT I NEW IT WASNT OVER YET, over the weekend I got a letter from Fairbanks that said CONGRATULATIONS YOUR LOAN IS PAID IN FULL!!!
