Stole $300 from my account!

I decided to make an atm deposit late one evening after work. It was already nearing midnight so the bank was closed. I pulled up to the drive up atm at that branch. My sister was in the car with me and saw me count out three $100 dollar bills and fifteen $20's (a total of $600 dollars). I even made a comment on how I was surprised that I had made that much in tips that week.

I made the deposit and drove off. A couple of days later I noticed that my balance was in the negatives after making a car payment. I went to my online account to check it out. I saw that there was a "$300 misc. Adjustment" that was made. Half of what I deposited!!! I immediately called the bank and asked what happened. The customer service rep told me that she'd put in a claim.

A couple weeks later I get a letter in the mail saying that the investigation was over, and they found no error. WHAT THE F$%@!!! They told me that the employees counted two 100 dollar bills and five 20's. Now, I understand if there were a couple of missing 20's, but HALF of my deposit? That's just not right!

So, now I'm negative $300 dollars, getting charged overdraft fees, and broke! I have a 8 month old son and money has been tight. I definitely cannot afford to have this happen to me.

My suggestion, Wells Fargo needs signs next to their ATM machines stating "Deposit at your own risk!"
