Sean Seshadri
Lux Investments Prashant Seshadri Supposed Stock Trading Guru who charges 30k and promises the moon

Business & Finance

We met Sean at a seminar in Florida where he was a guest speaker. He spoke with tremendous enthusiasm and promised that he can and regularly does teach people the "secrets" of trading that only those that trade professionally on the floor know.

In subsequent conversations with him the story gets more and more incredible. He tells people to not pay their house payments, but rather go to his pricey seminar, because they will have enough cash within weeks to pay for the house. He talks people living in apartments hand to mouth to run up their credit cards because they will learn these secrets that NO ONE else outside of professional traders knows.

He sells his 3 day seminar for 30,000!! He promises that you are his student for life. That he will always, personally be available for questions and for further training. Come to find out that he promises most of the students that they soon can be teaching for him at his events making amazing amounts of money changing people's lives. He then arranges webinars where he brings out several of his students and they tout their "success stories".

When we finally attended this seminar, we got a manual that was done, I would guess at Kinko's. It was 10-12 pages and the type was so blurred and small that it was virtually unreadable. During the seminar Sean neglected to communicate some very very basic rules of trading, relating to account size, frequency of trades etc. Many of the techniques he taught were not available to small traders, with less than 25,000 in their account, but of course, he never mentioned that. He also never stated that the 'setups" that he is so fond of touting dont happen with the frequency and regularity that he states they do. Then, the coup de grace, he puts live charts up on the screen and calls moves as they happen. What we didnt realize as new traders, was that what he was calling "trades" were simply small movements that he called and then immediately changed screens so we never saw the follow thru.

The end of this is that I do not know one person who took his trainings that is doing well. I know of several that are out of trading at all, due to losing all of their money. His "success stories" have all left him, due to "integrity issues".

To sum up his mentality. I told him that I needed some help as I needed to make some money regularly and it was not happening. His response was "well go out and sell my seminars and I will pay you a finders fee" He was not interested in making sure I learned what he supposedly taught, he was interested in filling a room with $30,000 people like me.

Whatever you do, dont pay for his seminars until you contact many of his students. Make him give you a comprehensive list and call many many people. I would say, just go elsewhere for training if you want to trade and save your $30,000 for trading!!
