Called About $1,293 Credit Card Debt From 2002 and Hung Up On

Today 8/17/09 I got a phone call from Midland Credit Management, they said to me that they were collecting a credit card debt for the amount of $1,293, 00 I was shocked. Thay said I could pay the debt in one payment or once a month. I asked them when I occured this debt. Thay said 2002. I told them I'm calling my lawyer and file bankruptcy, they hung up on me. I don't know but it feels the whole world is coming apart.
