Account Closed After Paying Off Balance in Full

I saved and saved to pay off the $3800 I owed Chase, which was formerly a Wamu account. I owed $1500 of it at 25% interest from a CA two years ago, the rest was at 10%, I could never bring the balance down and was always stuck just paying off the lower interest. I was soooo glad I finally saved enough money to bring it down to $0 get rid of that 25%! With a credit line of $5500 and always paying right on time, I was excited, I was maybe looking at getting a lower interest and buying a car. This was my first credit card too, so this looked good for my credit as well.

I just got the letter. We are closing your account due to three reasons. One was something about negative credit... Ughhh??? Where I don't see that on my report 2 over my credit ration ugghh well hello I just paid the whole thing off. WTF? 3 was something stupid as well. This is bull# My first credit card, you throw me away like a piece of crap? I have NEVER missed a payment, now you have hurt my credit. I am so mad right now. Obama bailed out these people and this is the thanks I get.

Funny thing they also give me a little brochure reminding my the interest went way up as well. Well thank god I did not buy that car... I would have been paying out my you know what now. So please someone tell me... You pay your cards off, pay your mortgage on time, and what do you get? Nothing, absolutely nothing. How come they did not conveniently close my credit card when I owed them all that money? Ah, I see, you are not making a dime off me now, so kick me to the curb, raise my interest without me knowing it (thank God I did not remake a large purchase, I would have been back to square one), and now I have to take a hit on my credit. What did I do so Bad? I am not a deadbeat, seems like deadbeats get the frills, I get the chills. Don't pay your mortgage... Here's a handout... This is utterly sickening. This has got to stop. They can go shove it up their a$ by the way. I just got a student loan at 6% fixed... Ha... Freaking pigs
