Misrepresented themselves as a legitimate credit card company

They contacted me and stated that I was approved for a $1500 credit card along with a $7500 line of credit through their website. When I received the confirmation email AFTER they charged my account $69, it turned out that the credit was ONLY through their internet store. When I contacted them to cancel the offer (immediately upon discovering), I received an email back that this was non-refundable and a recommendation that I use their service at least once as my "membership" was paid through the next month.

Knowing that a consumer has a right to cancel a funding or credit transaction within a 24-hour time period, I contacted my credit union to reverse the fee. VERY CLEVER the way that they are doing this. Hook you in then tell you to wait 30 days before cancelling AFTER the time period has passed to legally change your mind!!
