H&R Block Truly disappointed - Tax preperation

I decided this year, after using the online service for years and getting married, to visit an H&R Block location. After sitting down with a person it became very clear that there was nothing being done differently here than could have been done on the website for free...

After my wife and I had our information entered, a person from behind the main counter walked up behind us and we were instructed to pay nearly $200.

After doing so, I questioned what we could do to receive a larger tax refund, to which we received, and I quote:

"If you buy a house, you will receive $8,000"

That was all.

If you wish to improve my experience, and the opinion of anyone who asks me of your services, remove this callous bait & switch from your business model. I, for one, am thunderstruck by the disregard I have been shown.
