I had my mortgage w / Option One Mort. Then I got a notice stating that Ameican Home Mortgage Servicing (AHMSI) will be buying my mort. Once this Co. Brought my mort. It has been all down hill.
My monthly payments are not credited on time & or applied correctly. I have flood ins. That I pay on my own but they keep sending money to the ins.Co. & then I have to fight w / them to put my money back into my escrow & they always tell me my escrow is short because they want to pay the flood ins.
During the winter months when the economy became real bad I tried to contact them to inform them that 1 year ago my husband (50) had a heart attack & that he was fired from his job for getting sick, the economy being bad & my husband is a union construction worker keeps getting laid off because there is no work out there & now that he is back to work he took a cut in pay so I would like to refinance my loan. I was informed that they were no longer a lending co. Due to lack of funds & that they were just debt collectors & just to let the house go into forclosure. May be try a quick sale & move into an aprtment. (If this is true then the original letter I received was VERY MISLEADING.) I continued to call to find out what kind of crack pot I was talking to. Well low & be hold they were all like that & kept giving me the run around & hanging up on me. Not to mention not one of the CSR spoke clear english. Now a few months later I am always getting harrassing calls telling me that I am past due on my loan by 2 months. I was like how is that possible? When I finally gave the CSR a chance to explain they told me they ran a credit check & they did not like my credit score so therefore it went up. A letter was sent to me. I told them that was a bunch of bull because I never received a letter & never agreed to have a credit check to be done & agree if my credit is to change that I will be willing to pay a higher rate. Not to mention my contract was signed w / Option One not them & I have a fixed rate.
This scares me very much because my husband had to take some money out of his annuity to try to pay off some of our bills since his income has changed. I will be going in for very serious neck surgery & if it is successful I will be laid up for months before I will be able to go back to work.
Is this how a Bus. Is suppose to be ran I do not think so. Is this what our world is turning into just throw people out on the streets & who cares. It's not like I am more then 10 days late if not on time. This is redicoulas.
I advise anyone who is with this company to get away from then just asap. This is a very SCARY company & very unfeeling, uncompassionate, uncareing, unwilling to work with thsoe who have been very good until the economy crashed.
