Overdraft Fees With No Overdraft, Manager Called Police on Me

I have been banking with BB&T for over 3 years now. On 3 different occasions they deducted overdraft fees from my account when no overdraft ever occurred. At first I liked them, since when I had the issues I went into the branch and they corrected their error and returned my funds. But you would think your money is safe at a bank. How does that happen three times to the same account?

On May 26 it happened again, so I called the branch manager, who decided that she would rather scream and yell than help me, a client. I then had to go into the branch because the branch manager did not know how to be professional over the phone. When I got there she had already called the cops. The officer who showed up was very displeased with the manager and then gave me the information I needed to get the error fixed, which the manager should have done in the first place. That is her job.

After my account was fixed and active again, she decided to be spiteful and put a hold on my account so that I could not use my debit card. When I called, she told me that if I wanted my money I had to come in and close my account to get it. Why would I have to close my account to get my money because she is upset and she was wrong? At this point I was done with BB&T, so I went to my branch to close my account and get my money. When I got there she told me I could not have my money, and she would not give me my statement. She stated that if I wanted my statement I would never get my money, because she was going to charge me for it. I have never heard of that, let alone a bank charging you for a statement when it does not cost 251.96. I had to call the cops out to the bank to get my money. When I told them I wanted the number for corporate to speak with them about the manager, they said that BB&T does not have a corporate office. I knew that was a lie, so I said you have to have a corporate office. She then said, oh yeah, but we are not allowed to give out the number.

I have had nothing but problems with this bank since I first started with them. They are unprofessional, they are thieves, and they are spiteful and not willing to take responsibility for their mistakes. We put our money into banks so we do not have to worry about it being stolen, and then the bank does that exact thing. They need to take the Trust off the end of their name.
