After reading some of the other reports I now realize that privacy Matters 123 must have obtained my credit card information from classmates.com also. I was checking my bank statement last night for something else when I notice a charge for $19.95 and after some searching found that this has been happening since January (5 months!)
After calling the number on my statement and cancelling this fraudulant account I request a refund of the full $99.75 thay have billed me. I was told that the most they could refund was $19.95 and no more.
I NEVER got even ONE credit report and the young man, Zachery, I spoke with told me that I had gotten into this mess when I accepted and $10.00 Rebate. "A $10.00 rebate for what?", I ask. He can't tell me What the H%#? @ How is this stuff allowed to happen and how do I get my money back? What do we need to do to stop this kind of thing from happening in the future?
