Mishandling of Loss Mitigation & Loan Modifications

I have spent months in a living hell of hours on the phone with Wells Fargo trying to get on track for a loan modification and hardship review. I have spoken to Wells Fargo Loan Servicing, Wells Fargo Collections, WF Foreclosure Dept, WF Loss Mitigation - all getting the runaround in one direction or the other.in the mean time WF continues down the path of active foreclosure for our home. At the 11th hour before a sheriff sale date I came across Dave's posting with the email addresses for the executive team at Wells Fargo.

I sent a scathing email explaining our situation and how WF has mislead us and not followed through with what was agreed upon. Within 30 minutes I had a phone call from the executive team, giving me an assigned caseworker, all of their direct contact information, and a request for (yet another) fax to them with our financial info and hardship letter.

Thank you Dave! You are a savior, as I have spent hours and days on phone calls with every department at Wells Fargo. I've spoken to supervisors, specialists, FHA, HUD, our county's Foreclosure Prevention Services Dept, and even my state's senate office. Without those email addresses I would NEVER have gotten such a quick response from someone who can ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING about my case at Wells.

My advice is listen to Dave's post! Go straight to the top. Call every assistance outlet you can. I know it's a giant pain in the &, but it's the only way you're going to get anywhere with these people.

I believe that WF is misleading their borrowers, and stringing them along in the process until they either give up fighting, or it's too late to save their home. They are using unethical business practices and perpetuating our country's economic crisis, while posting profits each quarter.

Call ten times a day if you have to. Be the biggest pest they have ever run into. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!! One person CAN make a difference. You don't need an attorney, or some "foreclosure specialist team" that wants $1,000 retainer. You can make this happen, you can negotiate this yourself!

Don't give up!
