My Moprtgage they are defaulting me and I paid what they asked

I was behind on my mortgage my wife lost her job and found another but with a lot less pay we got caught up on the mortgage and they asked me to sign a moddification contract which I did and they included my taxes in this and when I meet there contract and they were supposed to lower my payment so we could afford the house so we would not lose it, and I got a new mod on Monday the 4th and next thing I know they lied and say that I am responsibile for the taxes and they want there money 10 days ealier or I default on the new contract they took the taxes out of the payment and are asking me to pay even ealier and raised the amount of the loan. The deal was if I meet there obligation they would work with me and help me keep the house cause I would prove to them that I wanted it. Well I cannot afford what they are doing to me and now I will lose the house because they lied and went back on the aggrement. I am at a lost for what to do, I really wanted to keep the house but cannot with this new mod contract they want me to do. We are so disgusted with them. Does anyone know what can be done I thought these banks were supposed to do whatever it took but keep the person in there home. All these banks get bail out money but we still get screwed so who has helped the little person all the goverment did was put the banks in a position to forclose because they have money now and do not need to work with people anymore well thank you for that.
