From day one, Sallie Mae has never served as a great customer service oriented company. I was the student signer on the loans and my father had co-signed. My parents wanted to take care of the loan and started making payments even thought I was in college and the loans were "deferred."

It is now 5 years later and payments are still being made. However, because they would not consolidate the different loans, if the payments were not indicating which sub-loan number it was, the money was put towards one loan and not dispursed to all the loans. Sallie Mae would not re-distribute the money and the loans that were co-signed by my father were not paid and screwed both of our credits.

When you try talking to this people they barely understand what you say. They can not even produce documentation of the loan payments which is absolutely absurd.

Today through me over the edge, because my father and I already have had extensive arguments over these loans to the point where when I see a piece of mail from Sallie Mae I cringe cause I can not deal with him yelling at me, and yet another letter came. I had reported Sallie Mae to the Better Business Bureau and they went behind my back and wrote to my father saying I was basically out of line and that they were reversing payments and putting one of the loans back into 120 days late. This was not the case because the payments were being applied incorrectly.instead of splitting the payments to cover all the minimums, one loan was receiving payments and is no currently up to date for the next 6 months.

This company is ruining a lot of peoples credits. They do not keep accurate records and I know I am not the only one going through this. My sister goes to a high school with over 1000 kids and I told her to spread the word and make sure that this company is not used. I just want all the reports on my credit to go away and have the problem fixed.

I have physically lost over 10 pounds from all the stress that this company has caused and constantly get headaches. This company is affecting my family, my health, and my work.

I am ready to take legal action as is my father to stop this company!
