Compass Bank decides after a year of business to change up. I walked into the a Compass Bank I'd never been in before and freaked out when I noticed the kid serving me had a white shirt on that had never seen an iron, a tie pulled down like a Stock Broker after a big hit. He took the business check and I left. After 3 days as always I preceded to pay my bills only to find out that the kid at the bank had the discretion to put a hold on my check for up to 45 days if he so desired
I racked up 13 NSF charges like that, not including the good old bounced check charges to come. Like another person on this site I was hit by the debit courtesy extension in which you're allowed extend your debit card so you can pay the $38.00 that follows. Call that Lesson No. 1 and Lesson No. 2 was when the kid got me.
Well I went out to save my butt and pulled $500.00 cash out when the bank said they'd do nothing to help me, thank goodness they paid most of the 6 checks I had outstanding.
I think I broke even after using there extended debit to buy a used printed for my computer. No respect for you or the recession. Watch Out for Compass Bank they will do you good if you left them.
