Classic Mortgage Joe McAllister misrepresentation ripoff fraud extortion scam

A mortgage broker named Joe McAllister took money for an appraisal that was never performed and in general relayed false and misleading information about the loan he was brokering to us.in order to be able to close on our house, we ended up paying twice for an appraisal — once to Mr. McAllister, and again to the lender. We also ended up with a loan that was not what he had promised it would be. After the deal was closed, Mr. McAllister had the nerve to try to extort more money from us, falsely claiming that we owed it to him.

I don't believe that Mr. McAllister is employed by Classic Mortgage any more, but the fact is that Classic Mortgage did nothing to intervene or resolve this situation, nor to restore our appraisal fee. Yet they reaped handsome fees from us. I would recommend AVOIDING doing business with Classic Mortgage. And if Joe McAllister is still out there anywhere, DEFINITELY avoid him — he is a con man!!!
