Caller Demanded SSN Before Agreeing to Stop Cell Phone Calls

First question was may I have your s.S. # I asked if they could stop calling me on my cell phone. He responded with I need your s.S. # or your account # in order to do that. I would like to know if I can stop them from calling me.
