Has anyone heard of them... They want $820 for insurance to give me a loan

I applied for a loan for $9000. They emailed me saying I was approved. When I called them back Ms. Nancy Summers told me I had been approved for $10,000. However, I would have to pay $820 for insurance on the loan upfront. I told her i did not have it. She told me to borrow it from friends and relatives... Because I need this loan. Also, I had only until Friday.

Has anyone heard of "The Lending Associates"? They have a very nice web site... Very professional looking. Something strange though... When she called me back I was on the phone... And my caller ID said "The Dot Com Hotel" with a completely different phone number. Weird!

I hope they are not trying to scam me. But, I don't feel comfortable dealing with them.
