Possible scam

I obtained an email from Chevron/Texaco saying I'd gained $500,000 and also to deliver statements data to States Processing Official, Mr. Thomas Williams, email chevronclainsreleasedept@ 8u8.com. The tackle about the email was CHEVRON/TEXACO OIL COMPANY, 2 CHEVRON push, LEKKI pENINSULA, PMB 1282 LAGOS, NIGERIA.

I've attempted unsucessfully to get hold of somebody with Chevron to determine if this a fraud. Can somebody please advise me concerning the credibility of the email. Your immediate interest is valued. Cheers.
