Set up a self directing IRA with this firm a few years ago. The fee schedule presented is not what they are giving me today after I tried to move the IRA to a different provider. The fee schedule they gave me today does even match their website http://www.trustetc.com/company/fees.html fee schedule.
They charge a premium to keep you there, then they bump up the termination fee and asset transfer fee to try forcing you to stay with them.
Equity Trust Company says their services are included for transfer or other admustments of existing notes/mortgages, in reality, they charge you $100.
At the time I signed up, there was not $200 termination fee.in between the tiem of signing up, and trying to terminate, they imposed this fee without notification.
Truly disappointed dealing with them.
