Ed was originally was working with people that I know and have trusted for years. He convinced us that he could get CPN's (which I found out are illegal) and Corporations for us with credit lines attached. All he ended up doing was wasting everyones time and money. It was not until after a few months that we found out he is SO unprofessional and disorganized. No one that I know is working with him anymore because he is an absolute liar, thief, con artist and a total waste of time. He can not seem to ever complete anything that he says he can do, except relieve you of your money.

He took $50,000 of my money to set up CPN's and Corporations with lines of credit already attached. That was supposed to take 30-45 days. That was in July '08. It is Now Jan '09. He obviously couldn't ever seem to get that done. There always was an excuse or reason why it didn't happen today. It was the markets fault, or the weather, or he had to play golf that day. Whatever. It was alway something or some reason it wouldn't work. And he would always come up with another way to get it done. He could never refund my money just pass it on to the next deal. The next way Ed had to make money was that he was "buying into a bank". That has never happened either. Even the trader he had for the bank where the money was going to be placed backed out. Ed was eating up so much of his time and producing NOTHING that he told him he didn't have time for him.

Ed keeps changing the contracts again and again to "get a better deal". I have 4 different contracts with this guy. Each one overriding the prior contract. Nothing ever completes with him. Months after the deal is supposed to be done, and it is not, he comes out with a new deal and new contracts.

Be very careful, he sounds like the real deal. He has all the answers, and the next great deal. He sets up conference calls with what sound like reliable people to sell you. But, if you give him your money, he is gone. Ed Fontaine is a major con artist. After the contract are signed and he has your money you will receive less and less phone calls and emails as the months go by. Until he disappears. He was also able to even convinced 2 other people I know that are VERY business savy to give him money, and they are just as frustrated as I am now. Be careful.

I wish I had known about this site before because it wasn't until after I had given him money that I found out someone else had been ripped off by him, and it is posted on this site. He even gave a rebuttle with all kinds of excuses. The same ones I was hearing when he would bother to return my calls or emails. He asked for a public apology and said that if they did give one then they could get their money back. That is posted that on this site. I am not sure if they ever did get their money back.

Also, another bit of information about this guy. One of the other people that gave him money told me they went by his house in Santa Cruiz because they could never reach him by phone or e-mail, and his house is now empty. He has moved on to places unknown looking for more people to ripp off. I hope that anyone dealing with him finds this BEFORE you give this guy and money or get into business with him. I hope I have saved you the financial loss that I have encurred.
