Credit Processor Promised Rated Did NOT Deliver, Then Chargeed a cancelation Fee!

I hope I can save another company from the headache a scam I went through. Credit Card Processing is a must for a small business, but who do you select? How can you be sure your not getting ripped off? You can't! Even with a signed contract stating I would receive a promised rate, I NEVER received it, not even on one charge.

When I tried to get the issue explained or remidied from Elliot's Local Tacoma Office, Headquartered out of 201 Main St. Suite #1000 Fort Worth Texas, I was told something was wrong with the fees being charged by my salesman, Micheal, he told me he would look into it and would not get back to me. I had to call him back every couple of weeks to get an update, and each time he did not have an answer ready.

So here is the deal, I was with another processing company I sleceted originally and I was pleased with their product when I was solicited by Micheal from Elliot promising to save me money. I met with him, explained my needs and told him that all of my charges were ALL ran manually, I NEVER swiped a card. All of our Granite Companies charges were over the phone. He said, we have a 'Mid' Qualified rate that would save you money! So I signed up. Switched from my old processor, paid an early termination fee, and away we went.

I have a contract with them stating that if I manually swipe a card I would get charged 2.27% for the fee. All of my statements and all of my charges were at 2.99% costing me $40-$80 more per swipe than my old company! All of our charges are for $3,000-$10,000 so this LIE really started to hurt. I even did finally swipe a Discover card and did I get the 1.79% on my contract? NO, they charged me 2.29% and said I did not 'Settle' before midnight so a higher rate was charged. Did I mention my first processor automatically set me up for auto settling at midnight? When I tried to call corporate to get their help I was told that each charge must have been a Government card or a rewards card. I asked them how to tell, they said you can't, so I asked them how they tell the differance, and how they can proove the cards did not qualify in my rate, and they said they CAN'T! What? I seriously cannot beleive that all 70 charges I made were all Rewards cards, I would dimagine about 20-30% of them were but not every single one. The worst part is they should have to prove to a customer why each rate was charged.

That is After 8 months of trying to get Elliot to fix it, I finally canceled, knowing I may have to pay a cancellation fee of $300 tat was in the contract, is that what they charged? No - it says a minimum of $300 in fine print they charged me $495 to cancel a contract they were breaching.

Hopefully this report will save another small local business from geting there already diminished profit stolen from a nationwide giant with who steals from their customers.
