Telemarketer ripoff

I called a local mortgage company to try and refinance my house. I was trying to take advantage of lower rates and also get a new heating system. I called them on Tuesday.

On Wednesday morning, i got a call from someone who said they were working with Equifax and they were with Foundation Financial. They said they saw I had tried to get a mortgage and mortgage comapnies were accessing my credit file and my credit score was going down as a result. They wanted me to give them my information and they would get me a loan. I told her I did not give out information to someone who just called me over the phone and I hung up on her.

About twenty minutes later, I got a call from what I assume was her supervisor stating that if I did not give them my information, I would not get my loan, because my credit score would be below 600 and I would be unalbe to get credit. I told her I still did not give out information to anyone who calls over the phone and hung up on her.

About a minute later she callled back and said my loan was denied and I would no be able to get a loan.
