Scam charges

They stated my spouse includes a charge card bill overdue but she's no charge card or has she actually. They named her office and stated she'd be offered documents at the office if she didn't react. They would like to negotiate out-of courtroom and that I think this can be a fraud to discourage people into delivering cash for them.
