Ripoff

I too have been ripped-off. I make no excuses for my bad credit.

I received a call from "Freedom Resource Bank" who offered my an unsecured credit card with no limit (I know that it sounded too good to be true but the greedy part of me got the best of me) for $221. I agreed that they could take the money directly out of my account 3 days from the conversation.

2 days after the conversation, I came to my senses and called them to cancel the transaction. They told me that it took 3 days to cancel the transaction (which was before the phone call offering the card).

They told me that the only way I could cancel it was to go to the bank and ask them to stop payment on the automatic withdrawal. I went to the bank and they agreed to stop payment for the $221. When I checked my account the day after I initally agreed to the automatic withdrawal, I found that they had indeed taken my money because they withdrew $221.06.

The computer at the bank was only looking for the $221.00 I had agreed to.
I called "Freedom Resource Bank" and told them what had happened and they said they would send me a form to get my money back. I received it approximately 6 weeks later.

I sent it back in and no 4 months later, I have not received a refund.in December, they said it would be in January.in January, February.in the first of February, they said the end of February. Today, they said it would be March twenty something. I asked to talk to a superviser and when they put me through, the phone disconnected.

I then made another call to ask for a physical address for the business and find out I am talking with Lenox Capital. They told me that I would have received a "Card Linx" if I had continued to do business with them. Their address is 1025 Rosecreek Drive, Suite 620 #387, Woodstock, GA 30189.

I called the sheriffs office in Woodstock, GA and made a report about the fraudulent business this company is doing with me. I talked with an Investigator Parchia and she indicated that there were about 15 reports that they were compiling and would be sending to the FBI due to them being a federal interstate crime.

Being financially desperate at this time, I called Lenox Capitol back and told them I had filed the report with the sheriffs office and would drop my charge if they overnighted my refund to me. They weren't in the least concerned and told me they couldn't do it. Childishly, I told them to enjoy their day with the FBI.

I feel like the biggest idiot. I know that I'm smarter than to fall for something like I did. I just wanted to be able to rent a car when I go out of town, I just wanted to be able to make an airline reservation over the phone or e-mail. I accept full responsibility for the debt I have gotten into - I feel that I am treated like a second class citizen. I feel like a second class citizen.
