Ripoff business from hell

The stories here are all to familiar. We were taken advantage of by these lowlife blood sucking idiots. WE were promised no prepayment penalty, an interest that was 2.5% lowere than the one we received and great customer service.

What we have is a mortgage payment that is $400.00 per month more than we were paying and a 3 year prepayment penalty.

The closing was at our home and the loan officer from AMERIQUEST was in a hurry because he said he has another borrower that was closing the same day (another sucker!!!).

He rushed through the paperwork so fast our head was spinning. During the signing we noticed that the interest rate was 2.5% higher than we were told it would be and it included a 3 year prepayment penalty (which we told would not be in the loan.

The loan officer was quick with an answer though, He said they had to increase our interest rate because we had late payments in the past 12 months with our car and credit cards and he indicated that he had to include the prepayment penalty because of this.

We told him that we would not proceed based on these problems. We told him that we have never been late with a car payment or credit card payment. He told that us if we got proof, he would take care of these issues and reduce the interest rate and prepayment penalty. He convinced us that we had to sign to show "good faith".

We did sign based on his word. We did get proof from our bank that we never were late with a car payment and we also got proof from 2 credit card companies that we were never late. We had the companies in question fax a letter to the branch manager.

We called our loan officer to confirm they had received the letters and he said " yes and everything has been taken care of as promised". We then called back and spoke with the branch manager to confirm this.

He said, " yes, We have received proof and good work, we will take care of your laon". This was on the 3rd day after the loan was funded, so we felt we were safe with regard to the recesion period.

We did not know there was a problem until we received a first statement. They did not change a thing, we were screwed and now we are struggling to pay the high mortgage each month.

WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLS*!!! What a bunch of liars!!! Are there any class action suits currently on the books? Has anyone personally sued AMERIQUEST?

I hope you respond to me and I hope people see these complaints prior to calling AMERIQUEST for a loan.
