Through my e-mail came something advertising for personal loan for people w-no credit or bad credit. First I would like to say that it is against the law to ask for any moneyup front (i just learned this) and second - nobody can promise you a loan upfront without first running your credit - nobdy!
Karen Moore with Standard Lenders asked for a copy of my birth certif and a copy of my drivers lic and $1200 up front with the promise of a loan of $9000 with a payback for the next 5 yrs at 8.9%. The $1200 is what they call "insurance".
After the fact I looked up the address they are giving and it belongs to Harolds Lighting in seattle WA. I spoke w-the owner of Harolds and she gets like 2-4calls a month on this scam.
Anyway the money was supposed to come UPS the day after I Moneygramed the $1200. Needless to say it never did and it never will. And of course I can no longer reach Karen Moore.
